Salto city

Ten days ago I moved to the city of Salto, in Uruguay. The city is very beautiful and i love. The city is very large, and is in the north. It is located 498 ( four hundred ninety eight) km of Montevideo city.

This city is called Salto because, before the dam of Salto Grande, Uruguay river was an extended break.

The city center is about 18( eighteen) km south of the deam. National rute 3 (three) is the primary means of communication with the rest of the country.

It has 118.013( one hundres eighteen thousand and thirteen) people.

In this city has many tourist attraction. The next day I visit the "Termas del Dayman". Termas del Dayman are located 10(ten) minutes from the city of Salto on route 3 (three). This area has manyhotels and places to stay. This place has saunas, jacuzzi, showers, and several types of swimming pool.

Later I also went to Acuamania, a water park, which is next to the Termas del Dayman. I had fun ther, there is plenty of entertaiment for children. There are also restaurants , where you cant stay to eat, and ther is also selling crafts of souvenirs.

Near the center of the city, to the southeast, is the municipal zoo.

An interesting historical place to visit is home Quiroga, a country house that belonged the family of uruguayan writer. There is a museum. There is also a park named "Horacio Quiroga", which is a water park like Acuamania.

Salto is characterized by a large number of work by engineer Eladio Dieste.

The center of the city lies on the Uruguay street which concentrates the business, and in the vicinity of many important historical buildings.

The lake reservoir formed by the Salto Grande Dam offers excellent opportunities for water sports, he found two club.
